Testimonials

Dear Andy
Wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you very much for the hospitality shown to us at the Showcase in El Salvador. Enrique, Jennifer, Stephanie and Jorge who were involved with much of our group were exceptional in their skills and all had wonderful personalities to go along with it! I myself plan countless events around the country and one of the most important facets (more than venues) is the people that our groups interact with. This made a great difference. I had special interest in the Intercontinental as well as the Decameron and have spoken with their managers regarding some possibilities that may be forthcoming for next year. In the meantime, I am catching up on everything back here at work but would be remiss if I did not send a quick message to you to thank you for us both. It was a great experience to educate us about your country and what it offers - it really does have some very good potential.

Andy,
I want to congratulate you and your staff for doing an excellent job in presenting the Central America Showcase. The event was well organized and highlighted the best of what the region offers travel planners. I found your staff, particularly Stephanie, Jennifer, Jorge and Enrique, wonderfully helpful and informative. Having done most of our events in Europe and the Middle East, your showcase allowed us to learn of the opportunities available in Central America, which up until our visit to your showcase, we had not known much about. I was thoroughly impressed with the hospitality of everyone we met in El Salvador and the eagerness to work with our organization. We are discussing various locations with our clients and hope to start booking groups for next year.

Hi Mr. Ortiz:

Thanx so much for your information regarding Cancun next year. I was very impressed with the way the San Salvador Showcase was handled by your organization and showed that professionals in your company did a 100% job. It gave me some ideas and am considering our next international university symposium to be either in Mexico or San Salvador. Obviously being an executive platinum with American Airlines would use their services from Los Angeles to Miami then on to Cancun.
It is gratifying to see that your organization did an outstanding job handling the Sal Salvador Show Case and would of course use your services for Mexico or Central American when the selection of the venue is made. I would be the only one participating and look forward to the Cancun Show Case next year..
I am off to Europe in two weeks for a personal site inspection regarding one of our international symposiums during the academic year 2010, off peak period. As I mentioned earlier, I do not go on meeting planners fam trips but do my own. This means paying for all transportation cost, meals, car rentals, etc. however, the room is complementary as on a fam. Staying at one venue for several days provides me with up-to-date information and thus experience the venue's services 100%. This is much better than seeing 4 hotels in one day viewing a single, then a double and then go to the bar for shrimps and drinks. Our M.O. for 60 professor 6 nights, 40 rooms, three meals daily incl. two receptions/banquets with an arrival on Sunday with a departure on Saturday after breakfast using the off peak period. Many members come early or stay longer or both, however, that is for their own account. Congratulations again for an outstanding job done and look forward to your next communication and the possibility of attending Cancun 2009.
Cordial greetings,

Dear Andy
I gladly return your email request as I would have without your asking. I think everyone that attended had a wonderful time (as the video shows), and came away with a completely different view of El Salvador if not Central America. First of all, The people of El Salvador could not have been more friendly and accommodating. I don't mean just in the hotels where all was done for our comfort, but I also mean the people in the city who just saw us as tourists visiting their city and country. I went up to Jayaque on my tour Sunday and the way our group was welcomed there you would think we were movie stars. They had a band, with a prominent citizen of the town greet us and take us by hand around to show us their quaint little area. They served us lunch with more festivities and music again. It was great fun and show of hospitality. I do not think it was isolated just for us. I believe the people of El Salvador enjoy being friendly and showing their love of country.
As I mentioned to you one day at the Q and A seminar-DeCameron. I do not believe or feel 'Safety' of travel in El Salvador is an issue as someone brought up. My feelings are that 'mature' travelers number one know "how" to travel and two, know where to go or not to and avoid situations just as they would at home. If tourism depended on safety of traveling either in USA or abroad, no one would go anywhere period.
The Central American Showcase our group was attending in San Salvador was wonderful in the way it gave us visitors from America a chance to see El Salvador for ourselves rather than how the 'media' tells it to us.
In closing Andy, We had a great time and I do believe El Salvador-Central America will sell itself and now we can all sell it with our eyes. My owner partner has already had a talk with a group that were very interested in his visit and others have asked us why did you want to visit there, and now we have the tools and resources to quell there hesitations.
Best Regards, and Thanks again .

The El Salvador Meeting Planners Showcase open the book to some of the most interesting places, spaces and entertainment, that once the pages are turned and closed, there would be memories to last a lifetime....

Thank you very much for the opportunity to attend the Central America Showcase in El Salvador OCT 2008. The program was well organized and provided us a bird's eye view of El Salvador along with the hotels and meeting venues. It additionally exposed us to the warmth and hospitality of her people. I look forward to future Showcases.

Andy,
Thank you for the opportunity to give a testimonial regarding the Central America Showcase. The event was fabulous from beginning to end. Each hotel that hosted a meal and site inspection presented delicious meals with superb service. The Showcase and hotel staff were very professional, hospitable and desiring to please; which they accomplished. The non hotel venues were spectacular, especially the one held at El Charro. The dinner was set up outside in a beautiful park between waterfalls and adjacent to natural cave. The entertainment for the event was a performance by El Salvador’s #1 singer and television star. What a treat. The showcase events were well orchestrated and went off without a hitch even though at times the weather seemed to be working against us. However, even the weather could not stop the show. The staff improvised where needed and ensured the success of each event to the pleasure of all who attended. I was very impressed by all that I experienced; the professionalism of the Showcase events, and the beautiful terrain of the country highlighted by mountains lakes, rain forests and my favorite, the ocean. However, I was even more impressed by the warm and friendly people of El Salvador. El Salvador…Impressive.

It was nice to see and experience the country first hand. The hotels were very nice, the service was wonderful, the people were friendly and the tours were very educational. I will definitely keep Central America on the radar when speaking to clients! Thanks again!

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the showcase. It was excellent from start to finish - The Inter Continental Hotel - where I stayed was 5-star including the Staff, Food and service. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner all major events including the Miramba band playing oldies from the 60 & 70ties, local folk dancers and sambo and tango dancers, all in one day, truly outstanding. All the hotels that hosted us were fantastic with each one trying to outdo the other to show us what they had to offer our clients, when we send them to El Salvador. The Showcase was fabulous, so many Suppliers from all over Central America in attendance with lots of information & gifts. Even on the special night when mother nature interviened the Staff improvised and made it a great adventure. I have been in the Travel Industry for 25 years and have seen many great showcases, but nothing to compare with the Central America Showcase - it stands all by itself. The sightseeing Tours were great, The DeCameron Hotel on the beach has a lot to offer. As for myself on my post tour I had breakfast in El Salvador, lunch in Guatemala and dinner in Honduras and lots of adventure along the way. Thanks to everybody, especially to Andy - what a fabulous journey.

Hi Everyone,
It was great sharing the experience of El Salvador at Andy Ortiz's Central American Showcase! Because of my experience last year and this year, I am planning on managing 2-to-3 of my clients' meeting in Central America. A special thanks to Abraham and Moises, who took excellent care of us, as well as the others that supplied excellent tours, ground transportation, meals, guest rooms, and entertainment! I don't know their names, but they will always be friends of mine. The excellent level of hotel service, the culture and people , as well as the commitment of those involved in tourism are well kept secrets that need to be told. And we all need to shout it! Have a great day!

Dear Andy Ortiz,
I wanted to thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in the Showcase in El Salvador. El Salvador has a great infrastructure, a large international airport and modern highways which make it easy to get around to all tourist sites. The country lends itself as a top destination for ecotourism and since the country's currency is the US Dollar it offers a great value. All the hotels we visited were great hosts and gave us wonderful meals, entertainment and site inspections. The dinner and entertainment by a famous singer at Los Chorros National Park was spectacular and unforgettable. . You and your staff did an excellent job handling the Salvador Showcase. Jennifer, Enrique, Jorge and Stephanie were especially great guides and helped us to experience the country and its people first hand. Best Regards and Thank you

Andy:
I trust this correspondence reaches you doing well and in the best of spirits. It is with great pleasure I send to you this correspondence of congratulations on the great and valuable contribution to the evolution of the international travel and tourism industry; that was this years Central America Showcase. The CAS definitely provides Travel and Tourism professionals such as me, with a familiarity with and insight into Central America and El Salvador in particular. Yours is the most user friendly of such events I have attented. As a result I am now doing research on the Cultural, Music and Film festival of Central America, so I can start putting together plans to start marketing consumer destination packages to the best of such events, Central America has to offer. I look forward to taking advantage of your resources to grow my business, through expanded offerings. Andy, keeping doing what you do. You are helping the world to become a more familiar place. Success, Peace, Prosperity and Abundance!

El Salvador was a unique experience...a tropical paradise with much to offer and explore. It is the perfect place for a incentive award trip for those interested in beautiful beaches, magnificent volcanoes, interesting coffee and cocco plantations and, of course, one of a kind archeological experiences. This is a place just waiting to be discovered!!!
